Curating Art: Warm Outside
Accelerator has a collaboration with the International Master’s Programme in Curating Art at Stockholm University. The students create events in connection to themes that Accelerator wishes to highlight in the exhibition programme. The curator for this event is Sarah Rodrigues. This evening focuses on folklore, mysticism, and transformation in connection to Jonathan Baldock’s exhibition, Warm Inside.
Finally, the long Covid hibernation is over, and we shift from the inner to the outer, and erupt into the social sphere from our individual cocoons. How can we navigate this transfer of energy and circumvent anomie – the loss of group connectedness? In this evening performance of song and dance, we invite you to join the communal setting as a charged space and invoke the forces that surround us. We call upon the ancient myths, the shapeshifters, the wisdom of the forest, and exercise the rituals that guide us in the spirit of collective effervescence.
The performance begins with a 20-minute walk from Accelerator to Stora Skuggans dansbana (an outdoor dance pavilion). We’ll meet at the entrance of Accelerator at 18:00, and leave together at 18:05.
The event is free and approx. 60 minutes long. No registration needed.
