Bildningspodden live: About Bertolt Brecht (cancelled)
Every other week, Bildningspodden presents an hour-long conversation on a historic figure, epoch, philosophical trend or work or art. Some of Sweden’s most prominent thinkers share everything from essential basic knowledge to in-depth analyses. Tonight, Accelerator is hosting Bildningspodden for a broadcast of a live episode.
German author and playwright Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956) was one of the most important political artists of the 20th century. Brecht’s life was marked by war, oppression and persecution – and his artistic works engaged with the urgent issues of the time. Brecht’s influence is still powerfully felt in all forms of political art. How is that evident in our time? What can his work teach us about history? Live at Accelerator, the guests on Bildningspodden are Karin Helander, professor of Theater Science, Stockholm University and Stefan Jonsson, professor at the Institute for Research on Ethnicity, Migration and Society, Linköping University. You are welcome to join us for a glass of wine and listen to the podcast.
