Imri Sandström is an artist, writer, researcher and teacher. Informed by feminism, posthumanism and decolonial thinking, she is concerned with issues of sound, translation, language and history. In spring 2019 at Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation Tvärsöver otysta tider / Across Unquiet Times, which deals with literary language and history from new settlements in Västerbotten, Sweden and New England, north-east USA, interpreted through the writings of poet and literary theorist Susan Howe.

Lisa Torell works with a wide range of techniques including performance, installation, video and text. In 2018, she defended her doctoral project Potential of the Gap, as part of the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme. In her performative site-related practice, she explores issues related to society and its functions with a focus on the relationship between site, language and identity. She has exhibited at Marabouparken, Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum in Tromsø and Bonniers konsthall, among others. Lisa Torell is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts.

Hans Isaksson works with a type of distorted hyperrealism in various materials and methods in order to give new three-dimensional life to forgotten or discarded objects, and shed light on the values we impart to the things that surround us. No form is innocent and no meaning is stable. What one sees and how one understands information is a matter of perspective. Hans Isaksson is currently developing a solo exhibition and a publication on “Residence-In-Nature 3”, which he curated and produced in collaboration with Åsa Jungnelius and Lisa Torell and which took place in his childhood village Lainio, in Norrbotten, Sweden.
